The General Women's Union, GWU, and the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, organized an Emirati Night on the sidelines of the Arab-Chinese Women Forum.
The event was held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women's Union, GWU, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, FDF, and President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood.
Among those who attended the event were Atifete Jahjaga, President of the Republic of Kosovo, Widad Babiker Omer, wife of Sudan's President Omar Hassan al-Bashir, Dr. Maytha bint Salem Al Shamsi, Minister of State, Hafsa Abdulla Al Ulama, Ambassador of the UAE to Montenegro and non-resident Ambassador to Kosovo, a number of Emirati social women figures and wives of ambassadors accredited to the UAE.
QMS Engineers was there also, to celebrate the folkloric and traditional festivities of both Emirati and Chinese through special art performances.
Addressing journalists, Jahjaga expressed her admiration at the achievements of Emirati women as well as cultural promotion in various fields, especially political, cultural and sports awareness. She also praised the far-sighted vision of Sheikha Fatima who supported Emirati women to achieve further development and attainments, expressing her happiness at the women's march and empowerment in the country.
The event saw a number of folkloric songs and dances which embodies Emirati popular art, as well as a special performance by the Chinese delegation.
