The HH SHEIKH MANSOOR BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN GLOBAL ARABIAN HORSE FLAT RACING FESTIVAL in partnership with QMS Engineers, organizes a workshop on “Communication Basics”
Within its continuous efforts to provide its guests with innovative activities, the HH SHEIKH MANSOOR BIN ZAYED AL NAHYAN GLOBAL ARABIAN HORSE FLAT RACING FESTIVAL in partnership with QMS Engineers, held a workshop at the National Archives in Abu Dhabi on the “basics of communication skills”.
Initiating a participatory process in such sessions requires sensitivity and flexibility. Therefore, QMS Engineers facilitators mastered this challenging task, and offered as much support, guidance and encouragement as necessary while enhancing a process of discussion, negotiations, agreements, planning and implementation amongst a number of stakeholders from different backgrounds.
The two hours workshop was conducted in the most highly positive and interactive atmosphere and gave a different perspective to communication basic skills.
Some attendees’ feedback highlighted the success of this event, namely:
“We were given plenty of opportunities to try out the skill/method immediately. This practical aspect helped me clarify my doubts and got valuable input from other participants’’ said one of attendees.
“This workshop has added a significant and irrevocable layer of insight into the core skills of communication, and how to best navigate the most difficult challenges in specific situations. An invaluable experience and well organized. I highly recommend this workshop to all people wishing to improve their communication skills was another feedback received from an attendee at the term of the session.
“The innovation workshop had a positive atmosphere. Because of the diversity of people and backgrounds and the way the session was organized and structured, it was a pleasant and useful experience. The fact that you are confronted again with communication skills and how to communicate is relevant.”
The biggest ovation of the session was at its very end where the facilitator chose to wrap it up with Michael Jackson’s “Man in the mirror”.
