Rym Al Falast, Secretary General of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, in line with the directives of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bit Mubarak, the President of the Supreme Council for Women and Children organized a workshop in partnership with QMS Engineers on Competency-based Human Resources Management for the entity’s senior team members.
The workshop defined competencies as observable abilities, skills, knowledge, motivations or traits outlined in terms of the behaviors needed for successful job performance.

The workshop session focused on the other hand on the increased application of the competency based thinking across varied human resource functions (i.e., recruitment/selection; learning and development, performance management, career development and succession planning, human resource planning), in order to enable the Council to finding new ways to acquire, manage and retain the precious talent needed to achieve its goals.
At the term of the workshop, QMS Engineers consultant wrapped up by saying that properly designed, competencies translate the strategic vision and goals for the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood into behaviors employees must display for the organization to be successful, and this will standardize and integrate all HR activities that support its organizational goals.
