QMS Engineers conducted a workshop at TCA – Abu Dhabi, with the aim of making the team more aware on how to become compliant with the new version of the International Standard.
The changes and the transition process itself can seem overwhelming at first. ISO 9001:2015 is bringing some significant changes in concept and approach, but nothing we can’t handle. For an overview of changes, and for the successful transition to the 2015 version, QMS Engineers facilitator explained requirements on how to:
-Define context of the organization.
-List all interested parties.
-Demonstrate leadership.
-Align QMS objectives with the company’s strategy.
-Assess risks and opportunities.
- Control documented information.
- Perform operational control.
- Control external providers.
- Evaluate performance
Overall, the participants found the workshop well-structured, comprehensive, rich in content and useful for implementing the transition. The workshop provided an excellent opportunity to learn and exchange experiences. The participants evaluated the workshop highly in terms of content and methodology.
Most participants mentioned that they would recommend the workshop to their colleagues and suggested that more such training / workshops should be organized at the all levels of the organization.
Through its three key sectors: Tourism, Culture and National Library, TCA work extensively to regulate, support, develop and market Abu Dhabi’s tourism industry through a range of activities aimed at promoting and preserving the emirate’s distinctive heritage and culture.
