The year 2018 marks 100 years since the birth of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the founding father of the UAE, who passed away in 2004.
The first ADIHEX was launched in Abu Dhabi on 22 September 2003. On the last day, Sheikh Zayed himself came to tour the exhibition and while praising the organizers for their great efforts, he also told them to focus even more on falconry.
Consistent with the values of the late Sheikh Zayed, it is intended that the Year of Zayed will involve people of all ages, nationalities, faiths and backgrounds in the UAE and internationally.
Under the patronage of HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Emirates Falconers Club, Abu Dhabi International Hunting and Equestrian Exhibition (ADIHEX) 16th edition is held from 25th to 29th September 2018 at Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Center (ADNEC).
ADIHEX is organized by the Emirates Falconers Club and supported by The Environment Agency - Abu Dhabi (EAD), International Fund for Houbara Conservation (IFHC), The Department of Culture and Tourism (DCT) and The Cultural Programs and Heritage Festivals Committee. ADIHEX is a government initiative that aims primarily to promote Sustainable Hunting, Environmental and Cultural heritage.
Realizing that ADIHEX is a great opportunity to generate awareness, raise own profile and instill loyalty in its brand, QMS Engineers participated in this only dedicated hunting, equestrian, and outdoor sports exhibition in the region, showcasing the best the trade has to offer, and enhanced by Abu Dhabi's leading role in promoting its own heritage.
QMS Engineers Managing Director stated during the exhibition : “thanks to the generosity of our distinguished client the HH Sheikh Mansoor bin Zayed Al Nahyan Global Arabian Horse Flat Racing Festival, we are participating in this prestigious event for the third consecutive year. We are grateful for the Executive Director of the Festival for her continuous support and trust in our services. We will spare no effort to act in the best interest of the festival’s quality management system for continual improvement, and for a long term mutually beneficial business collaboration”.
The exhibition has attracted, in its recent edition, participants of more than 650 companies from 40 countries, and has become a destination for all producers of hunting and equestrian equipment, in addition to one hundred thousand of interested visitors. ADIHEX has undoubtedly been able to put the UAE, specifically Abu Dhabi, on the World Heritage tourism map, and the exhibition industry, bringing together leading local, Arab and international companies in the outdoor sports, and safari sectors, in addition to hunting weapons, traditional craft industries, environment protection and cultural heritage sectors all under the same roof, where they are able to share and exchange knowledge and experiences and make business deals that would yield benefits to all stakeholders.
